There are however ways to slowly improve your mental health for the better. Here are some of the tips which will help you rebuild yourself:
- Look after relationships you have with other people
Positive energy you get from other people can really charge your batteries, this works both ways, try to always smile and bring positive news, you will see that conversation you will be having will more likely be about all the positive aspects, therefore you will be charging your batteries and you will feel much better.
- Do some exercises
Being active is good for your body and soul. If your health condition be better, you will automatically improve your mental health. Regular workouts can reduce stress and give you more energy. Try to start with small steps, go for a walk instead of taking a car, take the bike if you can, all these little steps will make you feel better and will help with your overall health.
- Learn how to self control in stressful situations
Stress has a massive impact on your health, it is crucial to learn how to overcome it, even if for start you will be able to minimise it. There are many things you can do to limit the stress, my last two articles covered these in more detail. You can workout, meditate, listen to music, read books, everyone need to find their way on what they like the best.
- Look after your sleep
This is very important factor, you should really sleep between 8 and 9 hours every night to fully load your batteries. If you are sleeping less than 7 hours, you will feel tired and your immune system may start playing up. You will also be more hungry and will be taking all of the unnecessary load of empty calories. Before going to bed, limit your contact to all electronics, by limiting blue light you will give your brain a better preparation for a shutdown.
- Eat better food
Healthy diet is very important for you mental well-being. If you eat bad stuff you will more likely be overweight or obese and these can bring really bad illnesses to your life. Limit alcohol, sweets, fried food, replace all that with more fish, nuts, avocado, greens and fresh fruit.
- Look for a sense of your life
If you don’t have one yet, try to look for it. If you have a goal in your life you have a reason to wake up every day and you will be able to schedule your priorities in a way to achieve your goals. Craft your life in a way that your work, relationships and your hobby be what you really want to be.
